The original North Parish Church was opened in 1842 in Murray street, the congregation moved to its current site in Springfield Road, Braehead in 1970. The orignal chirch was built on the site of a Blackfriar Monastery, was demolished in 1970 to make way for Stirlings shopping centre. The foundation stone of the original church was used as the foundation stone for the current church. It was laid on the 4th of May 1970 along with a time capsule containing local & national newspapers & other items relating to the church's history.
The new building is a striking modern design byEdinburgh architects Alexander Gorden & Willaim Day. The original design had a glazed section in the triangular pyramidal roof structure, but this was removed during renovations in 1992.
There are 3 stained glass windows in each gable window by John Blyth honoring the Trinity.
