Dieser Cache war ursprünglich auf opencaching aktiv, ist jedoch seit Jahren nicht gefunden worden und der dortige Owner ist nicht mehr aktiv. Nur die Dose wurde nie entfernt. Daher haben wir beschlossen, den Cache zu "adoptieren". Das Logbuch haben wir noch nicht erneuert, es gibt also schon etliche Einträge, großteils von Muggle-Wanderern, die die Dose entdeckt haben. Der erste Fund zählt trotzdem als FTF!
Originally this cache was registered at opencaching. It hasn't been found for years and the owner is not active anymore. Only the box has not been removed. That's why we have decided to "adopt" the cache. But we haven't changed the logbook yet. So don't be surprised to find a number of entries, most by muggles who have found the cache by chance. The first one to find it counts as FTF.
Gösles' Wand ist 2912m hoch und vom Gipfel hat man bei gutem Wetter eine tolle Sicht auf Großvendiger, Großglockner, Rötspitze und alles was dazwischen liegt. Der höchste Punkt ist nicht beim Gipfelkreuz. Folgt dem markierten Wanderweg von der Roten Lenke. Trittsicherheit und Schwindelfreiheit sind erforderlich, aber kein Klettern. Bitte achtet auf das Wetter! Der Gipfel ist nur bei guten, trockenen Bedingungen empfehlenswert.
Ein schöner Ausgangspunkt ist die Neue Reichenbergerhütte am nahen Bödensee. Im Eingangsbereich der Hütte könnt ihr über den historischen Bergbau an der Gösleswand und die verschiedenen Gesteine, die gefunden wurden nachlesen. Es gab einen Asbestabbau. Die Hütte ist ein optimaler Stützpunkt am äußerst empfehlenswerten Lasörlinghöhenweg. Die Zustiege aus dem Tal haben es in sich - sowohl von Ströden/Hinterbichl, als auch vom Parkplatz im Trojeralmtal/St. Jakob in Defreggen.
Gösles' wall is 2912 m high and when the weather is fine one has a magnificent panorama view towards Großvenediger, Großglockner, Rötspitze and all mountains inbetween. The summit is not at the cross. Follow the marked path from the Rote Lenke. The summit is only for experienced hikers. No climbing is required, but you have to be careful where you place your feet and must not be afraid of heights. Please be aware of the weather conditions. The summit is only recommended in good and dry conditions.
A great starting point is the Neue Reichenbergerhütte at the nearby Bödensee. In the entrance area of the hut you will find information about the history of mining at the Gösleswand and the different rock formations found in this area. Asbestos was mined here. The hut is also a perfect base for the Lasörlinghöhenweg, a beautiful hiking path for 3-5 days along the mountains. The access from the valley is ambitious. Both starting points, Ströden/Hinterbichl and Trojeralmtal/St. Jakob in Defreggen are approx. 4 hours of hiking away.
