Geocache Description:

A Geocache located just far enough away from the madding crowd and stashed with mountain bikers in mind.

I wanted to create Geocache that would be great for mountain biking. I think I've found a really good place. Of course, where mountain bikes go hikers can easily follow. If you hike into this one just be careful of the psycholists who frequent the area as they come up quickly and quietly behind you! The reason I included the word confusion in the cache name is because there are no direct routes to it - at least I couldn't find one! The trails twist and turn and double back like crazy. Also, my GPS often loses coverage in the dense woods which adds to head-scratching. I strongly recommend you set your GPS to record where you started and also your track to aid in getting back to civilisation. A great place to park can be found at N43 55.961 W79 25.202, but you'll have to hunt around a little to find one of the trail entrances on the opposite side of the road (not hard). The cache is now in a tupperwaresque container completely covered with dead flora (no fauna though as that would probably smell after a while!). Speaking of which, not too much wildlife to see - except for a few chipmunks. If you are cycling in, be sure to do some more exploration as there are several rather challenging log climbs that other riders have set up. There's an interesting opitcal illusion at the cache site which looks like there is someone staring at you from a distance. It might just have been the way the light played on the trees today, but have a look around when you are there and let me know if you see it too. Dateline April 26th, 2003 - cache has been cleaned up and restashed. I also removed broken glass from previous container. Dateline April 22nd, 2015 - replacement cache from TMI is safely tucked away; dfx's recent coords appreciated -- new coords recorded within 5m. Thanks dfx. New parking coordinates taken today and added as additional waypoints. Main body of listing text left "as is" for old times' sake! It was snowing (yes, snowing) today at GZ. Hint removed. Dateline September 20th, 2020 - cache is now a square waterproof clipped box; tucked away in the base of a tree within mere steps of original hiding spot (Which has rotted away). Please replace and ensure it is hidden; not spot might be slightly more winter friendly than former location.
