Walking up from the park, you will reach the main recreational spot of Hrastnik. Hrastnik provides various facilities for people who want to cultivate sport. There are over 20 sport associations in the municipality. In this town you can find plenty places to spend time actively: winter-summer swimming pool, football playground with athletic running tracks, sport hall Hrastnik, sport hall Dolanka, outdoor playground for basketball and handball, skate park, outdoor ice ring, rock climbing, tennis court, beach volleyball, open street workout park, water sports base.
During summer season in this area a popular student festival Štuor takes place. On a daily basis locals like to chill on the benches built near the primary school or do a strenght training at outdoor fitness area.
App. 400 meters from the stadium you can reach the town center, with the fountain in the square and the market in the next side of the street. In the surrounding area you can find several places to sit down and have a drink, or get a pastry in a bakery. A little bit ahead from the intersection Youth Center Hrastnik is located in the building with blue stairs (Naselje Aleša Kaple 9a). The center provides the space for enhancing non-formal education in Hrastnik and offer various self growth opportunities for local youth and international volunteers.
