Welcome to the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission's 2017 Geocaching Adventure! This year, we have placed nine geocaches in our properties throughout the county. Your mission is to find them, note the code words listed inside each cache and, once you have found all nine caches, contact us via the Send Email option on Geocaching.com with your complete list of caches and related code words. Those geocachers who complete the adventure will receive a special collectible. But wait! There's more! One of our geocaches is a mystery cache. To find it, you'll need to collect the coordinate segments from three different caches. One of our 2017 caches is also a little more challenging than a traditional hide, so prepare to be challenged! If you're gunning to be our FTF this year, be sure to email us your list of code words as soon as possible! Now head outside and have a wonderful Adventure!
Since the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center opened in 1991, it has been a popular venue for recreation enthusiasts. The center has approximately 51,000 square feet of space dedicated to fitness and recreation. With close to 400,000 visitors annually, WCPARC strives to enhance quality of life by promoting healthy lifestyles through high quality facilities, programs, and services. The rec center features open spaces and lots of natural light to create a healthy environment where you can achieve your fitness goals.
Murray Rec is this year's Challenge Cache! Because of the nature of this cache container, the code words are not included or required, nor is it required to find this cache to complete the series unless you are striving for First to Find! It is extremely important that this cache container be handled with care. Please do NOT post photos or descriptions of the cache container; these logs will be deleted to ensure that our Challenge Cache remains fun -- and challenging! -- for future visitors. Remember, this is a Challenge Cache: it will not be easy for adults to find; it is not recommended for children! Thanks and don't forget, this cache will be challenging!!
Congratulations to HelloLola, the FTF this cache!
