El Lugar
El lago El Mollar o embalse La Angostura es un lago artificial, embalse de aguas dulces producido por el dique de La Angostura, ubicado en la provincia argentina de Tucumán. Se encuentra al pie del Cerro Nuñorco, en la margen sur del embalse La Angostura. Construido en el marco el Primer Plan Quinquenal durante el gobierno de Juan Domingo Perón.
Está rodeado de las escarpadas y frecuentemente nevadas sierras del Aconquija al sur (con altitudes de 5.000 msnm) y las Cumbres Calchaquíes al norte. El valle de Tafí inmediatamente al noroeste y la lujuriante quebrada de los Sosa inmediatamente al sudeste. En la orilla sur de este lago se ubica la población de El Mollar y en sus proximidades el Parque Provincial de los Menhires. Se dice que en este dique vive una criatura el cual se calcula su medida entre 10 o 12 metros , solo sale a la superficie de noche y muchas personas informaron este avistamiento
The Place
El Mollar Lake or La Angostura Reservoir is an artificial lake, a freshwater reservoir produced by the La Angostura dam, located in the Argentine province of Tucumán.
