Geocache Description:

Mercer Public Library and Community Center

2648 Margaret Street, Mercer, Wisconsin

Tuesday, August 15 at 6:00pm

Newbies and experienced cachers alike are welcome for a "Geocaching 101" class at the local library.

AnotherCrafter will give a brief presentation to introduce geocaching to those new to the experience, including an introduction to the Geocaching website, smartphone apps, and using a GPSr. We'll talk about all the basics and answer questions. We'll have some fun door prizes, too!

Experienced cachers are welcome to join us to visit with other cachers, swap TBs or pathtags, and help teach new folks about the game. As you know the best way to learn the game is from others who already play the game, and I'd love to see our local cachers at the event.

There will be a few temporary caches placed to help the newbies get their feet wet, and hopefully some new caches published in the area for a chance at an FTF or two.
