Chambery’s 2nd local night cache – aimed at family and beginner cachers/night-cachers. A fun walk through the fairy woods, following reflective markers to the cache location.
FR : Cette cache de nuit est surtout dédiée aux familles, aux débutants et aux cacheurs de nuit pour les aider à découvrir des types de caches différents. C’est pourquoi il y a un peu plus de marqueurs réfléchissants que sur certains autres parcours de nuit. Toutefois, j’espère que vous vous amuserez bien avec cette cache et que vous apprécierez surtout la ‘surprise’ à la fin!
Pour commencer le parcours, grimper le sentier après vous être garés à l’endroit recommandé. Aux coordonnées indiquées, cherchez un ensemble de marqueurs réfléchissants ressemblant à ceci :
Une fois trouvés, tenez vous à proximité et pointez votre lampe torche autour de vous afin de trouver le prochain réflécteur, qui correspond à un simple marqueur (comme pour le reste du parcours) indiqué ainsi ●
Vous aurez atteint la fin du parcours lorsque vous aurez trouvé trois marqueurs réfléchissants de la forme d’un triangle et la cache se trouve juste à leur gauche et est indiquée par un seul réflécteur sur son couvercle.
Attention, sur certaines parties du sentier, des marques à la peinture réfléchissante ont été laissées sur les arbres, sûrement dans le cadre de courses de nuit. Toutefois, ces gros points ou ces flèches ne doivent pas être confondus avec les marqueurs réfléchissants utilisés pour cette cache.
EN : This night cache is especially intended for families and beginner cachers/night cachers to help them discover different types of caches. Due to this, the markers are a bit more frequent than on some other night trails you might come across. However, I hope you still have plenty of fun with the cache and especially enjoy the ‘surprise’ at the end!
To start the trail, walk up the track from the recommended parking and, at the published co-ordinates, look for a set of reflective markers like this :
Once you have found them, stand nearby and shine your torch around to find the next reflector, which is a single marker (as is the rest of the trail) like this ●
The end of the trail is signified by finding three reflective markers in the shape of a triangle and the cache container is just to the left of these with a single reflector on its lid.
Please be aware that on some parts of the route, there are reflective paint marks for night-running trails sprayed on the trees etc. These are either large dots or arrows however, and shouldn’t be confused with the cache reflectors.
