ENXAIMEL
Ainda que normalmente se faça uma ligação natural entre o Enxaimel e a Alemanha, a verdade é que o estilo não possui uma origem propriamente determinada, embora seu desenvolvimento maior tenha sido neste país europeu e regiões vizinhas. O Enxaimel é uma técnica de construção que consiste em paredes montadas com hastes de madeira encaixadas entre si em posições horizontais, verticais ou inclinadas, cujos espaços são preenchidos geralmente por pedras ou tijolos.
Além de fortes, as casas eram baratas e de construção simples. Enxaimel quer dizer enchimento. Primeiro, era construído o esqueleto da casa, todo de toras grossas de madeira. Pronta a "caixa", os espaços eram completados com materiais disponíveis de acordo com a região, aqui no Rio Grande do Sul, há fechamentos com taipa, barro socado, tijolos maciços rebocados e até mesmo pedra grês cortadas.

TIMBER FRAMING
Although a natural link is usually made between the Timber Framing and the Germany, the truth is that the style does not have a properly determined origin, although its major development has been in this European country and neighboring regions. Timber Framing, or in Portuguese, Enxaimel, is a construction technique that consists of walls mounted with wooden rods that are embedded in horizontal, vertical or inclined positions, whose spaces are usually filled with stones or bricks.
In addition of being strong, the houses were cheap and simple in construction. Enxaimel means filling. First, the skeleton of the house was built, all thick logs of wood. When the "box" was, the spaces were completed with materials available according to the region, here in Rio Grande do Sul, there are closings with mud, mud pounded, massive brick and plaster and even stoneware cut.
