Engenho de Farinha da Costa da Lagoa

O engenho de farinha encontra-se na parada oito (P8) dos barcos no Caminho da Costa da Lagoa. Sua arquitetura é caracterizada como industrial e agrícola. Só é possível chegar ao local por meio da trilha ou de barco, que passa geralmente a cada uma hora.
O engenho é formado por uma casa feita de alvenaria de pedra misturada com barro e ainda possui todas as peças para funcionamento. Atualmente, acontece no engenho uma festa da comunidade no local, no mês de setembro. Sobre a história da casa, o engenho foi herança do marido de Maria Oliva Teixeira, atual proprietária, os quais moravam na casa. A plantação de mandioca era realizada no morro e a casa foi datada como sendo do século XIX.

The flour mill is at boat stop eight (P8) at Costa da Lagoa. Its architecture is characterized as industrial and agricultural. It is only possible to arrive at the place by trail or boat, which usually passes every hour.
The mill building is made of stone masonry mixed with clay and still has all the pieces for operation. Today, a community festival is held at the site in September. About the mill's history, it was inherited from Maria Oliva Teixeira's husband, the current owner, who lived in the house. The mandioca used at the mill was cropped on the hill. The construction was dated as being from the 19th century.
