Cache at the Serbian side of Memorial complex of the battle of Batina, from the 2nd World War


This cache shows you part of the memorial complex for the battle of Batina in the 2nd World War.
​The battle took place from 11 to 19 November 1944, between the German forces and some allies, and the Russion Red Army and the People's Liberation Army.
The battle was seen as one of the biggest and of most importance in Yugoslavia.

To remember those who fouight in the 2nd World War for our freedom, a memorial, was created. At the west side of the Donau at Batina, the Spomenik memorial was created. At this east side in 1981 the Memorial and War Museum was created.
​This place has been neglected for many years, but recently is being renovated.
