Oheisessa kuvassa on esillä ns sortteeri ja uittomiehiä eli uittojulleja työn touhussa vuonna 1937. Kuvaan on lisätty tukkipuiden kappalemäärien merkintätapa. Näillä merkeillä aikoinaan merkittiin vaneriseen tauluun tukkimäärät pituuden ja paksuuden mukaisiin sarakkeisiin, joista edelleen saatiin laskettua kappalemäärät ja kuutiot. Tässä Georetkeilyssä käytetään kuitenkin vain numeroita yhdestä yhdeksään, nolla on 0.
Toisessa kuvassa näkyy mysteerimultin ensimmäisen purkin koordinaatit, toisin sanoen bogus-pisteestä et löydä mitään. Kuvan rengasta on aikojen kuluessa monesti tarvittu puulauttojen tai puunippujen ja puomien kiinnitykseen. Myös sortteeri on ollut kiinni renkaassa. Ensimmäisen renkaan läheltä löytyvältä purkilta saat koordinaatit toisen samanlaisen kiinnitysrenkaan läheisyydessä olevalle purkille. Sieltä löytyykin jo sitten vinkki varsinaiselle eväspullolle. Uittojullin eväspullossa on lokikirja ja tilaa lähettää vaikka pienehkö reissaaja matkalle.
This mystery cache belongs to a cache series which introduces the traditional Finnish log floating. The series include “Here we come again”, “Bundles bay”, “Road to the boat dock”, and “Lumberjack’s lunchbox”. You will need a flash light, a pen, and sharp eyes in finding all caches.
The first attached picture shows a sorting spot and lumberjacks working in 1937. In the picture you can find notation how the amount of lumbers were marked at that time. This notation was used in writing on plywood board the amount of lumbers according to their lengths and diameters, and in the end to count the final amounts of lumber. However, in this cache we only use numbers from one to nine and zero is marked as 0.
The second attached picture shows the first coordinates of the mystery-multi (you cannot find anything in the bogus-point). The ring in the picture has been used many times in binding of lumber bundles and booms. Also the sorting spot could be attached to the ring. From the first film can sized box you will find the coordinates to the second one, which has a similar ring nearby. The final coordinates to the lumberjack’s lunchbox can be found in the vicinity of the second ring. The log book is inside the lumberjack’s lunchbox which also has space for small travelers.
