Ao chegar nas coordenadas seja discreto para não chamar atenção de outras pessoas. Leia as dicas, vejas as fotos e use sua imaginação para descobrir o esconderijo. Se quiser, troque os brindes, mas lembre-se de sempre deixar outro brinde no lugar. Se você não encontrou a cache, registre unm DNF (Não Encontrado) e só abra um pedido de manutenção de encontrar a cache destruída. Se você não assinar o logbook da cache, seu log será apagado. Tire uma foto do logbook e publique em seu perfil (cuidado para não fotografar algo que permita a localização do ponto). Recoloque a geocache extamente no mesmo lugar e na mesma forma que ela estava.
Pratique o CITO (Recolha todo lixo que encontrar pelo caminho).
