They can make over 51 different sounds! They purr, whistle, growl, hiss, scream and even whinny.
On the mammal IQ scale raccoons rank higher than cats and just below monkeys.
Raccoons are more likely to be killed by an automobile than by another predator.
We have hidden a series of caches in the community of Bridal Falls. We challenge you to find all 8! These our our first hides, so please leave us feedback. We have hidden clear plastic containers and included log books, pencils and numerous trade items. We were inspired to do this when we were hiking in Bridal Falls one day and accidentally found a geocache! We are locals, so we are able to tend to these caches on a regular basis, so if maintenance is needed, please do let us know (we already had a bear destroy one of our caches).
