Geocache Description:

Portland square is a tough little park to hide a cache in, so this one is micro(bottle cap Cache). As a child I grew up in this park, playing on what used to be a giant pyramid with a sand box in it. Then they brought in the nice new equipment about the time we moved out to the woods. It is a great little park full of memories.

I was surprised to see the splash pad still in place and functioning interesting what relics live on in an Urban Little park. I searched this old park of mine while my daughter played on the playground.

I remember in when I was young there was an attempt to make this park a unique spot by upgrading the facades of houses around the park. I think they were trying to emulate the "full house park" in San Francisco?
