Geocache Description:

Blame Canada for Justin Bieber, Nickelback, wrong sized footballs and football fields, and Canadian "beer." Laugh at Canada for their Monopoly-style plastic money, that their national symbol is a beaver, and the fact they are always sorry. Dread Canada for cheese curds and gravy on top of French fries, maple syrup on everything (smell their $100 bills - not kidding), Canadian "bacon," which is not real bacon, and ketchup flavored potato chips (seriously - look it up). They buy milk in bags. Bags! They pronounce things funny, call things the wrong name, spell things funny (adding extra letters - usually U or L) -- and have to spell it in French, too, or they go to jail or something.

But celebrate Canada for the one good thing they did give us: the Shuttle Remote Manipulator System (SRMS). Also known as Canadarm, it is a series of robotic arms that were used on the Space Shuttle orbiters to deploy, maneuver and capture payloads. The Canadarm (How original, Canada! You can say you're "sorry" now.) is pictured below.

We thought it would be appropriate to celebrate this achievement of Canada, for the Space Shuttle and space exploration for all mankind, near NASA's Johnson Space Center in the space art exhibit.

Come join us, Eh? Put on your runners. You won't need a tuque. You can park street level, you don't need to be in the parkade. Come trade stories, trackables, get tips on puzzles -- Fill your boots!

Maybe you'll even get to meet a real, live Canadian at the event. Maybe among the space exhibits you'll see some other fun space related things that may be of interest to you!
