One of the aspects of Geocaching that I've grown to love are Mystery caches!   The satisfaction of the "Ah-ha!" moment is in some parts better than actually finding the container.  As I write this I have found 201 unknown caches and have 53 solved but not found caches in my bookmark list.  Some mystery caches are easily solved from the comfort of your home, some require a field trip and other you can sit and stare at for days (or more!) until finally something clicks and you have that great "Ah-ha!" moment.   Thank you to all those CO's that go the extra mile and create a puzzle to go along with that nano in a stop sign or the MKH in a guardrail. It makes going to those mundane places much sweeter.

To qualify for logging this cache you you must meet the challenge!  You will need to have found:

STEP IT UP A NOTCH!

1. 200 or more unknown caches

AND

2. All 9 Difficulty ratings

AND

3. All 9 Terrain ratings

The Difficulty & Terrain ratings can be on separate caches.  You could have found D's 1 through 5 all on T1 caches or they could be spread across the 9 T ratings or T5's on all D1 caches.  Unknown caches found at anytime qualify for this challenge.

You must both sign the log and meet the qualifications in order to post a "FOUND IT" log.   You may of course sign the log sheet at anytime, but you must then use a "WRITE A NOTE"  log.

I would love to hear about your favorite mystery cache finds.

Important:

This is a real T5 hide in a tree. You will need a way to get to the lower branches of the tree. You have to ask yourself if you are comfortable with climbing a tree before attempting this find.  If you are not comfortable please hit the "Ignore" link in the upper right hand corner of the cache page.  Additionally, please no buddy logging.  If you and your caching buddy both qualify for the challenge that is great, but you both need to climb the tree and sign the log.
