O Centro Cultural Matarazzo é um complexo integrante da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura da cidade de Presidente Prudente.
O Centro foi construído na antiga IRF/Matarazzo localizado na zona leste da cidade. Por conta de sua enorme estrutura e de seu avançado estado de deterioração, ninguém nunca se propôs a comprar o edifício. O custo da compra e da reforma tornava tudo muito proibitivo. A prefeitura de Prudente já tinha tentado adquirir a construção em anos passados, mas a negociação nunca tinha dado certo. Porém, no ano de 2007, foi feita uma oferta pelo complexo e a mesma foi aceita. Depois de concretizar a compra foi aberta uma licitação para reforma do prédio. O objetivo era a construção de um grande centro cultural para agregar toda a produção artística da cidade.
O complexo conta com a Secretaria de Cultura da cidade, a Escola Municipal de Artes Profª Jupyra Cunha Marcondes, um teatro, um auditório, cinema, galeria de arte, ateliês e salas multiuso.
The Matarazzo Cultural Center is an integral part of the Municipal Department of Culture of the city of Presidente Prudente.
The Center was built in the old IRF / Matarazzo located in the east side of the city. Because of its huge structure and its advanced state of deterioration, no one ever set out to buy the building. The cost of buying and reforming made everything very prohibitive. The prefecture of Prudente had already tried to acquire the construction in years past, but the negotiation never had worked out. However, in 2007, an offer was made for the complex and it was accepted. After completing the purchase, a bid was opened for the renovation of the building. The goal was to build a large cultural center to bring together all the artistic production of the city.
The complex has the City's Department of Culture, the Municipal School of Arts Prof. Jupyra Cunha Marcondes, a theater, an auditorium, cinema, art gallery, ateliers and multipurpose rooms.
