The Paulo Moura Theater and the Nelson Castro Amphitheater are part of the Swift cultural complex, where various pieces and performances are performed during the year. The theater emerged in Ancient Greece with the worship of the god Dionysus, god of wine, theater and fertility. These festivals, which were sacred rituals, processions and recitals that lasted for days, took place once a year in the spring, during which time the wine was harvested in that region.
The theater we know today began when a ritualist dressed in a humanized mask adorned with several grape clusters rose on the stage and said, "I am Dionysus." From then on the next rituals were always done in the form of plotting.
