This month the Mondays in Manassas event is celebrating something we have been enjoying for several months... flowers. According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, the name of the May moon was often called the Flower moon as well as Mother’s moon, Milk moon, and Corn Planting moon. The May moon marked a time of increasing fertility with temperatures warm enough for safely bearing young, a near end to late frosts, and plants in bloom.
Everyone is welcome at this Mondays in Manassas event. Be sure to bring your appetite, your geocaching stories, and trackables to share.
