A = The eigth letter on this plaque expressing how to make a difference.

Stage 3:

C = The difference of the two digit number expressing some school spirit and 78.

D = C.

i.e. if this number were XX then compute XX - 78.

Stage 4:

EFGH = Mr. and Mrs. F's year plus 30.

(This will result in a 4-digit number).

Final Stage:

Standing at stage 4, orient yourself to 147 degrees and enter the building you face. You may need to brush up on your researching skills.
