We will meet up at the Lake Rim boat launch ramp parking (the given coordinates for this listing) at 3:00 pm, sign the log sheet, and discuss our plan of attack. We will step out at 3:15 pm and continue until the immediate area and trails have been cleaned. The process should should take no longer than a few hours at most, so we plan to end around 5:00 pm depending how many cachers show up. We will have some trash bags and water but please bring some of your own so we have enough and no one is without water. As we have had an unseasonably warm winter, and the fact that we start having summer tempuratures in late April, we recommend you bring sunscreen and insect repellant, as well as dress appropiately. We will be working through brush, pine needles, and near the waters edge, so it is suggested that you wear rugged shoes or hiking boots as foot wear. Bring your gloves, pick-up sticks or claws to assist with the clean-up as needed and to avoid touching any "unwanted" items or critters. We look forward to meeting up with everyone and cleaning one of the great parks in our area to help improve our environment and reputation. As an added bonus, your attendance will earn you an additional souvenir thanks to Groundspeak's annual Earth Day Souvenir. Surprisingly this area continues to have a large amount of trash accumulation, and since it has been two years since we held a CITO here, there should be plenty of work to do. We want to make an impact for our community and improve the areas for all to enjoy.
