Geocache Description:

You can take a easy walk around the city of Seaford to gather most of the numbers needed to find the target location.

Edited on 9-1-20 because one memorial sign has been removed. Edited on 3-6-05 because the sign has changed.
Edited on 5-17-04 because the original sign has been covered.
Edited on 1-24-03 to correct a wrong interpretation of a grave stone.

For this virtual cache you will visit several locations to obtain numbers that will be substituted into the final coordinates.

1.Visit N 38° 38.090 W 075°37.582 to find a sign that provides the new name of the business at this site. The name on the road sign is the name of the old company. Seaford is the “Nylon Capital of the World” because of this original company. Add the number of letters in the old company name to the number of letters in the new company name to get the number AB.
A + B = C
C - 1 = D

2.Visit N 38° 38.723 W 075°37.688. In this park is a memorial in honor of Seaford heroes. You are searching for the year (EFGH) that this memorial was dedicated.

3.Park at N 38° 38.460 W 075° 36.706 and you can easily walk to the other locations.

4.Go to a building at N 38° 38.427 W 075° 36.796. This building used to be Seaford’s Post Office before becoming a museum. Look for the date (IJKL) the original structure was built.

5.Next head to N 38° 38.534 W 075° 36.778 . The vehicles at this site look nice in a parade but also help save lives and property. Next to the building two Time Capsules were buried in MNOP & QRST.

6.Continuing, you are looking for a date (UVWX) important to an associate of Matthew, Mark and John at N 38° 38.605 W 075° 36.535.

7.A stroll along the Nanticoke will reveal a circular metal cover at N 38° 38.432 W 075° 36.617 (NOT in the sidewalk). The number of words molded in this cover MINUS 1 = b.

8.Visit a sacred place (N 38° 38.468 W 075° 36.675)to find the final resting place of Louisa Moore and her husband. You are looking for the year (18de) he passed, the year she passed (18fg) and her age in years (hi) when she died.

Now substiute the numbers that you have gathered into the following set of coordinates:
N hi° DG.LeT
W OXb° Kf.HPV

At the final coordinates, you will find a site that was the Seaford Library at one time and now is a business run by a friend of mine.
The final location has a National Register of Historic Places plaque on the building.

To log a “find” email me (at hostanutde@gmail.com)the name of the original business at the final coords.
Each cacher MUST submit the required information.
Please do not post the answers even if they are encrypted.

Note: It should go without saying....You must visit the final location to log a find on this cache!
