Please can I respectfully ask for no spoiler photos of this cache as it either harder than usual or a different container to the norm. I will ask you politely to delete spoiler photos from logs on this cache and I may delete the log myself if necessary. Unlike most church micros, which tell you all about the church, this one is about one the internees, if that is right word for someone buried in a churchyard. So walk through the churchyard to the indicated coordinates and you will find the gravestone for Andrei Selling. Andrei originated from Estonia on the Baltic Sea and came to work as a labourer at the Stanton ironworks from the displaced persons camp at Donington Hall (Castle Donington). Sadly, he was killed aged 39 in an industrial accident at the works when crossing the railway lines between apparently stationary trucks. At his funeral, which was conduced entirely in Estonian, there was the unusual sight for western Europeans of the coffin lid being opened just before internment for an official photograph. Apparently, this was normal custom in the Baltic States. Anyway, the coffin was then lowered into the ground and a wreath in the Estonian flag colours laid at the site.
The cache can be found by looking at Mr Selling’s dates of birth and death
The cache is at 52 56.uvw -1 18.xyz
U = day of birth -7
V = month of birth + 2
W = last digit of year of birth - 4
X = day of death + 7
Y = month of death -3
Z = first digit of year of death + 4
Checksum of the 6 digits should be = 35 but I sometimes have to move the cache in the summer because it can get overgrown and then I forget to change the checksum. When plotted you should also see the final cache on a footpath leading away from the church and past the playground.
