Geocache Description:

An extension to The Fine Pair series in Hackney Village.

Number 780 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.

The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

Hackney Village, also known as Victoria Park Village has been ‘gentrified’ over the years. I moved close to the Village straight after university in 1996 and there was little here of note. Then one by one the businesses were developed. The first was the local pub which attracted me to linger a little more!

Now the area is a bustling and dynamic part of London. Close to Victoria park and with great cafes and bars it has become one of the ‘hidden gems’ in this great city.

So don’t just come for the cache. Come to linger – enjoy the park and enjoy the amenities!

This cache is close by to two red telephone boxes on either side of the road with a post box on the western side. You are looking for a nano.

The Fine Pair series was originally started by wizardsmum but is now managed by mattd2k

If anybody would like to place 'A Fine Pair' of their own please do. I would just ask that you first visit www.afinepair.co.uk to request a number to avoid any duplication

mattd2k also keeps a public Bookmark List of this series. Once your cache is published please contact him via geocachingafinepair@gmail.com to have yours added
