Geocache Description:

This is a virtual cache on the water front of one of the prettiest harbors on earth. Its in honor of one of the first Europeans to use it. You will need to email me the answer to a question in order to log your visit.

Look for the statue of a R.N. Captain that lived between 1728 and 1779.

To log this cache as "Found," e-mail us the answers to the following questions and include a photo in your online log of you at the cache site with your GPS:

  1. When was this monument to the Captain unveiled?

After you visit this virtual cache, be sure to check out other monuments along the street in front of the harbor, as well as just enjoy the lovely walks. You should also visit the Empress Hotel, the Parliment building, and the musuem that are all close by. The musuem is fascinating - this coming from a person that is not a real big fan of musuems. The portion on totem poles alone is worth the visit.

Enjoy your visit. Its a special place.
