You can start from either the Atalaya Mountain trailhead at St. John's College, or from the Sun Mountain trailhead on Old Santa Fe Trail. Waypoints for both trailheads are included.
From either location hike to the Saddle Junction waypoint. This will bring you to an opening in between Sun and Moon Mountains where several trails converge. For planning purposes, the saddle is a great spot for a break if needed.
Now here is where things start to get a little adventurous! From Saddle Junction, take the Moon Mountain loop trail up to the summit. The slope is fairly gradual at first, but gets steep towards the middle section (and then even steeper near the top). Be prepared to use your hands to scramble up some boulders near the top.
GZ is located just below the summit to avoid unwanted attention from muggles. You are looking for an ammo can with plenty of room for SWAG and trackables. A pencil case inside the cache holds pens, pencils, and markers for the log.
