The published co-ordinates are not where this cache is located, and going there may get you rather wet! In order to find the cache, you will need to complete the series associated with it and collect bonus-related data from the labels in the logbooks. There is redundancy built into this bonus data so that if one or another cache is temporarily unavailable, for whatever reason, you will not be deprived of the opportunity to find this Bonus cache. Each 'set' of 3 caches (e.g. 1-3, 4-6 etc.) will hold the same Bonus information, so, if you forget to make note of a bit of data or can't find a cache, no need to panic! There will be a further opportunity to collect the same information.
When you have collected the 9 pieces of data you require, you will need to substitute the numerical values, associated with each of the following letters, in the formula for the final co-ordinates provided below. The letters are: A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H and J = ?
N 51° 0(G-E).C(G+A-D)(H+E) W 000° FD.(J-C)H(B+F)
At this point, if you haven't noticed the following on SPLASH 27, you may well be thinking: "Now where could I go to rest my weary bones and do the maths to find the Bonus cache?" Well, if you're reading this, you're in luck! Just check out the extra waypoint on this cache, or on the Bonus cache. Not to mention the photo :-)
We hope you have enjoyed this series. . .
