Cari amici geocachers nonché amici della Natura,
A dispetto di quanto affermato dalla scienza e cioè che il Picchio è essenzialmente un uccello stanziale e compie brevissime migrazioni solo in caso di forti gelate verso gli insediamenti umani, siamo in possesso di dati sicuri sulla falsità di tali affermazioni. Dunque vogliamo tentare un esperimento unico al mondo per osservare la migrazione di un Picchio lunga ben 3000 km, dal nord Europa verso le nostre zone.
L’evento eccezionale è previsto per il giorno 12 marzo 2017 dalle h18.00 alle h19.00 presso Candoglia, Via San Graziano 9. Per l'occasione, viveri e bevande saranno a disposizione e l'inaugurazione di una piccola biblioteca un po' speciale offrirà inoltre la possibilità di incrementare il vostro conteggio. Despite scientific claims asserting that the Woodpecker is fundamentally a sedentary bird and it only moves for very short migrations towards human settlements in the event of heavy frost, we are in possess of reliable data attesting the falsehood of such statements. Therefore, we would like to carry out a worldwide unique experiment to monitor the migration of a woodpecker of an impressive 3000 km from Northern Europe towards our areas.
This extraordinary occurrence is expected on March 12th 2017 between 6.00 and 7.00pm in Candoglia, Via San Graziano 9. For the occasion, food and drinks will be provided and the inauguration of a little library a bit out of the ordinary will also give you the chance to increase your tally. We look forward to see you all there!
