This Virtual cache can be found along Highway 56 north east of the town of Montezuma. There are 170 wind towers in the farm, operated by Florida Power and Light Energy. They provide 33,000 homes with electricity and the wind farm stretches over 12,000 acres, yet the actual ground occupied by all towers accounts for only seven acres. Each tower stand more than 230 feet tall during a typical "charging mode," the rotors travel more that 140 miles per hour.
