Nature protected area park-forest Velika i Mala Petka was established in 1987, it covers area of 42,7 ha.
Park-forest Velika i Mala Petka is located on the hills of the same name and forms a unique landscape value near the City of Dubrovnik.
The area is almost entirely covered by a lush Aleppo pine forest, while significantly smaller area are covered by Mediterranean evergreen macchia and garrigues. The Region of Velika i Mala Petka is also an important habitat for numerous songbirds.
You can get to Mala Petka by following red trail, which you can entrance from "Put na vrh Petke" walking trail.
Bus number 4 get there (Hotel Palace ending stop).
There are some breathtaking views from there (Velika Petka, cliffs, lighthouse, Lokrum island, mountains, Cavtat).
