Geocache Description:


L'ancienne gare du Moutchic se situait sur la ligne Bordeaux-Lacanau Océan au km 55,5. Cet arrêt permettait de profiter de l'ambiance reposante de la plage du Moutchic le temps d'un pique-nique en famille ou d'une baignade dans le lac de Lacanau. Le tronçon Lacanau-Ville / Lacanau-Océan a été inauguré en 1905 et fermé définitivement en 1962. Il comptait deux arrêts facultatifs à Talaris et Le Huga.
La ligne de chemin de fer a été remplacée par une piste cyclable et la gare abrite maintenant un bureau de poste ouvert en saison.

Les caches SideTracked Series font partie d'une série de caches placées à proximité des gares, anciennes gares ou trains miniatures.

The former Moutchic station was located on the Bordeaux-Lacanau Ocean line at 55.5 km. This stop allowed to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the Moutchic beach for a family picnic or a swim in Lacanau Lake. The Lacanau-Ville / Lacanau-Océan section was inaugurated in 1905 and closed definitively in 1962. It had two optional stops at Talaris and Le Huga. The railway line has been replaced by a cycle path. The station now houses a post office open in summer.

SideTracked caches are Cache and Dashes for public transport users, which can be found at or near train stations, ex-train stations or near miniature railways!
