Safety:
Remember this is the desert. In the summer the temperature can get to 115°F which is hot enough to hurt you if you aren't prepared.
There is no water available out here so bring what you need. I recommend you carry 1 bottler (16.9oz or .5L) per person for each hour you expect to be out. Some web sites recommend as much as 1 Liter per hour depending upon your size, age, and how hard you expect to work geocaching.
The nearest water (and food and gas) is 10 miles south on US-93, at the Love's truck stop.
It looks like people sometimes use this area for target practice. If anyone is shooting use your best judgement and stay safe.

Carry lots of water.
