Placed on the edge of this beautiful village you are looking for a magnetic key safe. There is a pencil inside but please bring one just in case. Parking is available close by. This is my first to place cache and I hope you enjoy!
Many thanks to Sadexploration for maintaining this series of church micros. This is my first to place cache.
There is a pencil in the cache but please bring a pen/ pencil just in case. Parking is available on the road close by and do not have to enter the church premises to find this.
The Scalford parish church, which is on a small hill in the centre of the village, is named after St Egelwin (alias St Ethelwin) and is believed to be the only one in the country named after this saint. The church was built in the 13th century, the Tower was rebuilt in 1639 and the Chancel was rebuilt in 1845 ;
It has been refurbished internally in 2014 to include a kitchen and toilet area with the original pews having been cleaned and restored; the old tile floor has been uncovered, cleaned and repaired; new under-pew, under-floor and radiator heating has been installed together with new up and spot lighting.
