Geocache Description:

FTF names this cache. The Chantries are well known in the area for its stunning landscape however much of the south side of the Chantries is not walked. This part of the Chantries which is, in my view the best part of it has a beautiful path running through it however this path has become overgrown with brambles.

With your help by finding this cache we can make this path passable again. Please if you are searching for this cache could you bring some secateurs to cut through some of the plants. I aim to make these Geocaches 1.5 terrain caches by next Christmas (2017).

This part of the Chantries is so wild that when I was placing the cache I got within meters of two small deer, pheasants (which I had never seen here before) and numerous rabbits and squirrels.

The Chantries form part of the ridge of the North Downs, just to the South of Guildford. Chantry Wood is 78 hectares of mixed woodland and an Area of High Ecological Value within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in striking distance of Guildford Town Centre. The Chantries are popular with walkers (and dogs) all year. Rabbits, deer, badgers and foxes live wild there. In April/May the wooded area is a mass of bluebells. The top of the hill has open fields with stunning views to the south.

The cache is a small container with a few items inside.
