Geocache Description:

There are rumors that the Southeastern Atlantic Tree Octopus has been sighted at The Ridge.  Your mission is to find him, and log the encounter.

Since my caches are close to the trails, practice Leave No Trace so there's no Geotrail and no sign of a search. Please return the cache to its hiding spot, and be sure it's set back up so that nobody can see it if they pass on the trail.  I designed it so it is easy to do that.  If there's a problem, let me know right away. For any of my caches, type a great log with a story and photos, but don't spoil the hunt for others.

The Ridge is open from dawn to dusk, but may be closed at other times. There's no parking fee. For info about placing a Geocache at The Ridge Nature Area, contact the Southern Conservation Trust. All caches in The Ridge require express permission of the SCT.

This area is prime habitat for the Eastern Box Turtle. You may see caged or fenced turtle nests along the trails, and you might also see the turtles that are studied here.
