Studentski Park (English: Students Park) also known as Akademski Park or Univerzitetski Park, is located beneath the Student's Square. The park is also located opposite to the seat of the University of Belgrade which is how it got its name. It is one of the oldest places in Belgrade and the park with the most interesting history in the city. The remains found in the area date to II and III century. This area was part of civil settlement in Singidunum, in period of Roman Empire. During Austro-Hungarian occupation, this area served for the military maneuvers and in time of Turks, it was a graveyard and a place of prayer. As years passed by, graveyard was neglected and forgotten and city officials turned it into a market. Old turbe (tomb) on the northern side of the park stands as the only remaining memory of this Belgrade period. Market was closed in 1927 and at the same time construction of the park started. There are three monuments in the park: Dositej Obradović (great educator), Josif Pančić (renowned botanist) and Jovan Cvijić (renowned geographer and scientist).
Park is surrounded with several important cultural and academical institutions like Belgrade Philharmonic, Kolarac Hall, universities of philosophy, natural sciences and philology.
Studentski park, poznat i kao Akademski park ili Univerzitetski park, nalazi se ispod Studentskog trga. Park je lociran preko puta sedišta Beogradskog univerziteta i po njemu je i dobio ime. To je jedno od najstarijih mesta u Beogradu, i park sa najinteresantnijom istorijom. Tu su pronađene iskopine iz I i II veka. Ova oblast je bila deo naselja u Singidunumu u periodu Rimskog carstva. Za vreme Austro-ugarske okupacije služila je u vojne svrhe, a u vreme turaka tu je bilo groblje i mesto za molitvu. Kako su godine prolazile, groblje je zapušteno i zaboravljeno, a grad je ovde postavio pijacu. Jedino staro turbe (grobnica) na severnoj strani podseća na ovaj period. Pijaca je zatvorena 1927 i u isto vreme počinje gradnja parka. U parku postoje tri spomenika: Dositej Obradović (veliki prosvetitelj), Josif Pančić (čuveni botaničar) i Jovan Cvijić (čuveni geograf i naučnik).
Park je okružen sa nekoliko kulturnih i akademskih ustanova, kao što su Beogradska filharmonija, Kolarčeva zadužbina, fakulteti prirodnih nauka, filologije i filozofije.
