How well do you know your Civil War beards? This is a fairly straightforward mystery cache, just find each of the Civil War generals listed (one of them wasn't a general, but was an intergral part of the war's history). Use the first letter of their last name and convert it to a number (using the standard A=1, Z=26 code).
