Sarò più che lieto di controllare nuovamente la cache per verificare la sua conformità con le linee guida.

Der Schlachthof Meran

Nicht allzu viele Städte können mit einem Jugendstil-Schlachthof aufwarten. Meran schon! Weil seine Vorgänger einem ungetrübten Kurvergnügen stets im Wege standen, ist 1906 der Städtische Schlachthof im Areal zwischen Schießstand, Friedhof, Bahnhof und Stadtbahn-Remise errichtet worden.

Bereits seit 1311 gibt es mehrere Fleischbänke im Meraner Stadtzentrum in der Zone zwischen Bozner Tor und Promenade, bzw. im Bereich des damaligen Kurmittelhauses. Da der durchdringende Geruch von Blut und Exkrementen in dieser immer touristischer werdenden Kur-Zone zu unangenehm wurde, entstand 1906 der neue Schlachthof in der St.-Josef-Straße. Heute ist davon nur das kleine Städtische Schlachthaus mit seinem weithin sichtbaren dottergelben Türmchen erhalten geblieben, während sich in der Villa Schlachthaus der Jugendtreff „Jungle“ befindet und das kleine Portierhäuschen beim Eingang als Arbeitsplatz des zuständigen Amtstierarztes genutzt wird. Geschlachtet wird von Montag bis Mittwoch, und zwar jährlich 400-500 Rinder, 600-700 Schweine, 500-600 Schafe und Ziegen, selten auch Pferde, aber keine Hühner.

Il Macello di Merano

Sono poche le città che possono vantarsi di un macello in stile liberty. Merano è una di esse! Fu costruito nel 1906 nella zona tra via Bersaglio, il cimitero, la stazione ferroviaria ed il deposito tranviario, perché i posti dei macelli precedenti erano in netto contrasto con il divertimento termale della città.

Già dal 1311 nel centro Meranese esistevano diversi banchi del macellaio tra la Porta Bolzano e le passeggiate e nelle vicinanze del ex-Fisioterapico. Siccome l’odore di sangue e deiezioni non era benvenuto in una zona termale sempre più turistica, venne costruito nel 1906 il nuovo macello in via San Giuseppe. Al giorno d’oggi è rimasto soltanto il mattatoio con la sua torretta gialla ben visibile da lontano, mentre nella ‚Villa Macello‘ si trova il centro giovani ‚Jungle‘ e nella piccola portineria l’ufficio del veterinario di turno. Le macellazioni hanno luogo da lunedì a martedì e sono all’anno 400-500 bovini, 600-700 suini, 500-700 ovini, raramente equini, e niente galline.
