Peverella foi a primeira variedade de uva branca vinífera, que chegou ao Brasil com imigrantes vindos da região do Vêneto, na Itália.
Essa variedade ficou anos extinta, ou escondida entre outras viníferas mais viáveis economicamente.
Escrita em dialeto vêneto, a palavra Peverella é originária de 'pevero', que na tradução literal do dialeto para o Português significa pimenta. Seu sabor levemente picante na ponta da língua lhe confere o nome à variedade.

PEVERELLA
Peverella was the first vinifera variety of white grape which arrived in Brazil with the immigrants from the Veneto region of Italy.
This variety became pratically extinct for years, or hidden among other vinifera varieties more economically viable.
Written in Venetian dialect, the Peverella word originates from 'pevero' which in literal translation into Portuguese from Venetian means pepper. Its slightly spicy taste gives the name of the variety.
