Pinus elliottii é uma espécie de pinheiro, do grupo das gimnospermas e tem como uma de suas características a produção de sementes, mas não a de frutos, ou seja, suas sementes são "nuas", não ficando encerradas em frutos.
Devido ao clima, essa espécie foi introduzida com maior ocorrência na região Sul e Sudeste do Brasil.
