Shi Shi beach trail starts with a short two-mile hike meandering through groves of Sitka spruce to the cliffs overlooking the vast Pacific. Scampering down the switchbacks, you are led to one of the most scenic beaches along the northwest coast of Washington state in Olympic National Park. After 1.3 miles of beach walking you cross Petroleum Creek. Enjoy waves crashing on the stacks offshore while eagles and seabirds glide overhead. Continue the last stretch to the Point of Arches, a mile-long stretch of rocky sea stacks and tide pools teeming with life. The Travel Channel claimed Shi Shi as the wildest beach in America. No geocaches on Shi Shi, but definitely worth a hike to see this spectacular beach.
