Please note that you are facing a very challenging box. If you are extremely lucky, you may open the box and sign the log in aprox 30 minutes (10 minutes for First Stage and aprox 20 minutes for Second Stage). You will need another 15 minutes to bring the box back to its initial state, so the next GeoCacher will enjoy the same experience. If you are unlucky, you may spend 60 minutes only to clear the First Stage...
To avoid frustration, allow at least 2 hours of your free time for this box. Or just skip it for a simpler one ...
But enough talking - be patient, Good Luck and enjoy your attempt to open The Box.
The locking mechanism of First Stage is a "time capsule" and a see-saw.
To clear the First Stage, keep the box on the Correct side for 10 minutes. If the side is right, the time capsule will unlock the Sliding Cover. Play a little bit with the Sliding Cover back and forward a few times, to ensure that the Locking Mechanism is free. Do not force! When the Sliding Cover is unlocked, you will be able to slide the Cover all the way, until will be removed from the box.
If you didn't kept the Box on the Correct side, then the Cover will remain locked and you will not be able to slide it. Choose another side, keep it like this for 10 minutes and try to see if it is unlocked. Keep trying until you find the Correct side - the side that will automatically unlock the sliding cover.
You may notice two round knobs - turn it clockwise / anticlockwise to get a clue to the direction of the Correct side. Do not turn those knots too fast - the sound is more important (a kind of stress relief frequency)
Once you manage to remove the Sliding Cover, you will be able to see the internals of First Stage box. Remove the "time Capsule" slowly (handle it with two hands and keep it safe. As you can see, it is FRAGILE, handle it with extreme care).
Remove the "Special Screwdriver" - use it 4 x times. Keep in mind what Screw you remove, from where.
Once you removed all 4 x Screws, the bottom will fall free (shake it a little bit if needed).
Turn the Box upside down: Now you have entered the Second Stage of this story.
Bad news: The Second Stage is ... locked. Twice.
Good news: You will find inside, in the small black bag, all tools you need to unlock it.
It is a matter of practice. Do not use your muscle - it will not help. Enjoy!
Once the Second Stage is unlocked, remove the last cover and sign the Logbook.
Once you sign the Log, Please take some time to fix the box the same way you find it. The arrows will help to assemble the covers on the right direction. Fix back the screws - this will not be easy, but you will manage after a few trials.
When you removed the "time capsule", it was on "unlock" position. Now, to have the Sliding Cover locked, Fix the time capsule reversed (full red towards far away side), so once you will slide the cover, will get locked. Handle the capsule with care. Fix it back with a gentle push, both ends at the same time (2 hands).
Play a little bit with the Sliding Cover back and forward a few times, to ensure that the Locking Mechanism is locked.
Do not close the Sliding door without the "time capsule" fixed inside!
