Although my skills as a programmer have magnified since taking over the day to day operations of the OASIS, I wanted to create a puzzle that hearkens back to the early days of the internet, computers, and ciphers - the days before virtual reality became the preferred method of interaction.
Since this html code is so old and outdated for the average OASIS user, I decided to keep all aspects of this puzzle completely transparent. Nothing necessary to solve this puzzle has been obfuscated by hidden source code, exif image data, or other forms of sorcery trickery. Yes, there are ciphers, but there are clues that point to the correct solution method.
I personally vouch for all links to any webpages that are a part of this puzzle.

The entire puzzle can be solved from the comfort of your own haptic device (for those who have) or computer chair (for those who don't). Once the puzzle has been solved you will not need any form of validation - you will know it, and at that point you will be able to retrieve the geocache and earn your place in the High Scores.
Since FTF is gone and the 1st place slot has been filled, please feel free to send me messages, ask me questions, seek validations, etc. This puzzle will take some time, and my goal is for you to have fun and have a sense of accomplishment, not frustration and inferiority. UPDATE: There are now more checks on the puzzles to help ensure you are on the right track.
For those of you interested in my historic rise to OASIS owner, feel free to check out my biography, Ready Player One.
Enough of the pleasantries, this line and below is the origin of this puzzle:
I FEAR NOT
The generally accepted date when the Cubs were playing and the Bears were winning, "Nothin' - nothin'", and this brilliant quote was uttered, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
