Do not disturb … (Lumio)
Lumio is a medieval village that is built on the rock slope, near Calvi. It lies on the Balagne, the fertile coastal strip in north-west Corsica. Despite Lumio is a small village, its history goes back to the Middle Ages. Most buildings date from the time that the Italian trade city of Genoa was ruling Corsica, including some defense towers closer to the coast.
A kilometer from the village of Lumio lies a magnificent building dating from the twelfth century. This Romanesque chapel in pink granite is classified as a historical monument since 1992 for its outdoor setting. The facade is decorated with two lion heads that surround the monolithic lintel of the door. The chapel is located in the cemetery of Lumio. The lions of the chapel seem to be guarding the chapel. The older people of the village whisper these lions will take revenge when the graves on this cemetery are disturbed.
The cache
What can I say about the cache ? The title should be clear... This is one of those caches you better not search for. Everybody knows what happend to Howard Carter after he disturbed the tomb of Toetanchamon… So perhaps it’s better you just log a write note that how you did no go searching for this cache. Your family will be grateful. If they like you.
But in case you ignore my advise, take good care not to disturb any bones. The revenge of the guardians of the chapel and of the cache (Flora and Madelein are always near) will fall upon you. And then - well, you better find out yourself… Consider the fact that you are doomed your least problem …
Put the cache back the way you found it (or better if it was visible).
