What is it?
The 2016 Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF) is a series of short films put together by Geocachers for Geocachers! GIFF was a festival that was orginally held in Seattle, Washington during the yearly Block Party each August. Since the Block Party is no more as of 2015, HQ allowed geocachers to host events to screen the GIFF finalists to fellow geocachers in their own area. I (blackdogsMT) had the privilege to attend the 1st and 2nd annual GIFF's in Seattle, then I held the 3rd annual 2015 GIFF event locally and will NOW hold the 4th annual 2016 GIFF event once again in our local area! Geocaching.com was nice enough to not only release these films to events that signed up for the privilege to screen them, but they are also offering a souvenir to anyone that logs an "Attended" on one of the special GIFF 2016 Events! So come out, enjoy the 16 short films (about 1 to 1-1/2 hrs), drinks (non-alcoholic), snacks, popcorn and grab a virtual souvenir! There will be several door prizes and giveaways as well!
