I've wanted to post a tough crossword puzzle cache for a long time, but I kept running into problems. I had trouble finding a puzzle with the right pattern of black squares. They all seemed to have too many or too few. Then I stumbled on this one, which seems to have just the right number to me. The big plus in the middle is a positive sign. After all, plus means the positive terminal of a battery. A plus on a web page or post means you have a positive feeling about it. So I'm positive this is the right puzzle for this cache.
This is harder than my usual crosswords. The words inside the puzzle are all fair and things you can find with enough research, but I've made the clues tricky with some esoteric facts and vocabulary to challenge you. Still, with patience and some research, I'm positive you can solve it.
Just click on the puzzle to begin. That will take you to a web page. Fill in the puzzle grid. When you have it 100% correct, a message will appear that tells you how to derive the coordinates. If you like to work crosswords on paper, I have included a link on that page to a PDF file you can print out, but you will still have to go back to the online puzzle and fill it in correctly to get the message to appear.
