THE COUNTY SONG
There are 16 counties in our state:
Cumberland and Franklin,
Piscataquis and Kennebec,
Oxford, Androscoggin,
Waldo, Washington and York,
Lincoln, Knox and Hancock,
Sagadahoc and Somerset,
Aroostook and Penobscot.
These are the counties in our state and this is how we learned them.

1. Generally accepted rules, guidelines and conditions for logging a cache find apply. These must be bona fide caches listed on Geocaching.com that you have personally (physically) found and logged. You may include caches found prior to the creation of the Maine Counties Challenge so long as they meet all other Challenge requirements. Your qualifying caches may be active, disabled or archived.
2. All cache types count as finds for the All Counties Challenge with the exception of events (CITO included) and locationless caches. Also, temporary event caches, and "lab caches" do not quality. This find does NOT count as your find for Sagadahoc County.
3. Multi/Puzzle caches that cross county borders will only count for the county that contains the listed coordinates on www.geocaching.com.
4. While you may have others with you when you find the final cache, only those who have fulfilled ALL criteria for this cache will be allowed to log it online as a find. Online find logs by other cachers will be deleted.
5. When in doubt, ask — we can discuss it or even seek guidance from others, but the final decision rests with the cache owner.
6. Remember that this is a game and is supposed to be fun!
How can I play?
Create a bookmark list, or a list in your online log, specifying one cache you've found in each of Maine’s 16 counties. Be sure to include the county name as part of the bookmark, and the date of your "found it" log.
