Taiwan is my adopted home, and I love living here. I discovered geocaching while here, so that's another reason why La Ilha Formosa holds a special place in my heart.
Over the past two years since I began this hobby (obsession?), I've seen the growth of the geocaching community in Taiwan, as well as the increase of interesting and creative caches. I'm so happy to be a part of that!
One aspect of the game is Favorite Points (FPs). When I search, I am thrilled when I find geocaches worthy of FPs. And, I feel just as thrilled when other geocachers give FPs to my own caches. Therefore, I have created this Challenge Cache for those players who have accumulated 400 or more Favorite Points from their geocache finds in Taiwan.
I hope this challenge will prompt players 1) To search for caches in Taiwan that are amazing; 2) To give FPs to those caches that they feel are amazing; and 3) To search for more caches in general so as to accumulate more FPs to give out (players accumulate 1 FP to give for each 10 caches that they find).
As of this writing, there were a total of 1,367 active geocaches in Taiwan, and 420 of these had at least 1 FP. More specifically:
- 11 caches had 10+ FPs (44 as of 9/2020)
- 42 caches had 5~9 FPs (118 as of 9/2020)
- 367 caches had 4~1 FPs (1,128 as of 9/2020)
As the number of caches and players increases, the number of FPs given to caches will naturally increase, thereby making this challenge easier as time goes by. (As of September 2020, there are 3,848 active geocaches in Taiwan, with 1,290 of these having at least 1 FP).

The container is big enough for TBs, and I've initially included a pen and some swag, but it's always a good idea to bring your own pen.
If you have accumulated at least 400 FP finds then you can find this cache, sign the log sheet, and log this cache online. You may find and sign the log sheet earlier, but you must have 400 FP finds to log this cache online.
If you haven't yet accumulated 400 Favorite Points, then now is the time to go out there, find some awesome caches, earn (and give!) some FPs, and have fun!
