Le promeneur jettera un œil sur le très joli petit pont en dos d'âne à trois arcades (dit "de la corne rouge") qui supporte la route menant à Colombotte et Saulx. Remontant vers l'église et sur l'ouest on peut indiquer les restes d'un beau lavoir du XIX° siècle. Enfin, sur la butte au nord ouest, une petite chapelle néogothique a été érigée suite à l'épidémie de choléra du XIX siècle.
Walker will cast an eye on the cute little donkey bridge with three arches (called "red horn") that supports the road to Colombotte and Saulx. Dating back to the church and on the west one can indicate the remains of a beautiful wash of the nineteenth century. Finally, on the hill in the northwest, a small neo-Gothic chapel was built after the cholera epidemic of the nineteenth century.
Calmoutier possède un patrimoine architectural intéressant mais très éparse. L'église sous le titre de la nativité de Notre Dame est l'ancienne collégiale du chapitre de Calmoutier, elle est située dans le prolongement de l'ancienne église paroissiale Saint-Martin. Cette dernière, antérieur au XI° siècle, fut détruite en 1637. Seule une absidiole circulaire, est adossée à mis-corps, contre l'église actuelle. L'édifice voit se recouper plusieurs époques. La façade date du XV° siècle et cohabite avec une nef datant de 1698 dont certaines arcades reposent sur des pilastres du XI ou XII° siècle. Plusieurs éléments du mobilier datent néanmoins du XVIII° siècle. On peut signaler dans le bas-côté nord une porte datée de 1750 et qui faisait communiquer les deux églises ainsi que le clocher à toit bulbeux avec une cloche de 1764 une autre de 1834. On peut également évoquer les restes d'un couvent au sud du village ainsi que des maisons datant du XVI° XVII° et XVIII° siècle.
Calmoutier has an interesting architectural heritage but very sparse. The church under the title of the Nativity of Our Lady is the former collegiate chapter Calmoutier, it is located in the extension of the old parish church of St. Martin. The latter, prior to the eleventh century, was destroyed in 1637. Only a circular apse, is backed-set body, against the current church. The building sees overlap several times. The facade dates from the fifteenth century and cohabits with a nave dating from 1698 which some arches rest on pilasters of the XI or XII century. Several pieces of furniture still date from the eighteenth century. It may be mentioned in the north aisle a door dated 1750 and which led from the two churches and the bell bulbous roof with a bell from 1764 to 1834. Another can also evoke the remains of a convent south the village and houses dating from the sixteenth seventeenth and eighteenth century.
L'église de Calmoutier est d'origine romane, mais elle a été plusieurs fois reconstruites, ce qui explique que sa façade et son sanctuaire soient de style gothique. Ces deux éléments ont en effet été ajoutés au XVIIème siècle, en même temps que la nef. Le mobilier et la décoration sont également d'époques différentes. Les éléments les plus anciens sont des statuettes du XVème siècle représentant les apôtres. Plusieurs autres statues datent du XVIIème siècle, tout comme les boiseries. La grille de communion et une partie du mobilier datent quant à eux du XVIIIème siècle. On peut également voir dans la commune une petite chapelle néo-gothique élevée au XIXème siècle, suite à une importante épidémie de choléra.
The church of Calmoutier is Romanesque, but it was rebuilt several times, which is why its façade are Gothic sanctuary. Both of these have indeed been added in the seventeenth century, along the nave. The furniture and decor are from different periods. The oldest items are statuettes of the XV century representing the apostles. Several other statues date from the seventeenth century, as the woodwork. Communion grid and some of the furniture dating meanwhile eighteenth century. One can also see in the town a small neo-Gothic chapel high in the nineteenth century, following a major cholera epidemic.
